The Social Scene (Updated 11042024)
The Branch runs a number of social events, including Coffee Mornings, which are well received. The programme is varied and full details are published in the Branch Newsletter. The Social Secretary also provides an update on the events that have taken place and those that are planned for the remainder of the year, at the Open Meeting, so please attend to keep up to date and give you views.
The Committee always welcomes recommendations and suggestions from Members, which would add to the enrichment of the social activities. If you have any
suggestions please pass them on to any member of the Committee, or better still, use the contact form below to pass your suggestion or comment to the
Social Secretary. If you require a reply, please ensure that you include your e-mail address or telephone number.

50th Anniversary Open Day – Merseyside Police – Sunday,12 May 2024 Merseyside Police is celebrating five decades of dedicated service to our community, and we're hosting an Open Day alongside the Doyle Phillips Foundation on May 12th, 2024, to commemorate this milestone. This event will showcase the rich history, achievements, and the bright future of our police force. It's an opportunity for the community to come together, interact with officers, explore police facilities, and learn about the important work we do. 1000 tickets have been made available to NARPO members (including family and friends) and details of how to obtain tickets is shown below. Tickets are entirely free of charge, but have to be booked by using one of the below links to the Eventbrite site.. Location: Merseyside Police HQ, Rose Hill, 15 Cazneau Street, Liverpool, L3 3AN Date: 12 May 2023 Time: there will be two sessions, morning, and afternoon. 500 tickets will be available for each session for NARPO members (1000 total).
Please note that the subsequent message may give information about booked parking at H.Q. The good news is that the Arriva 47 and Stagecoach X2 services stop directly outside HQ on Scotland Road the stop is referred to Juvenal Street, which runs between Scotland Road (pedestrian only access) and St. Anne Street, vehicle access to HQ.

On 12 May, join us at Merseyside Police Rose Hill HQ, in partnership with the Doyle Phillips Foundation, for a fun-filled 50th Anniversary Open Day, celebrating our 50 years of service.
Come explore police vehicles, meet our dedicated officers, staff and volunteers, enjoy exciting demonstrations, visit the fairground, have a go on the game stalls, play the tombola and so much more. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about our work and the services we provide.
Don't miss out on this special event.
We are running two sessions (morning and afternoon) to allow as many people as possible to attend but tickets are limited. The event is free of charge, and you can book six tickets per booking. Please click on the link below for the session you would like to attend and follow the instructions on Event Brite.
Any money raised on the day will go to support a very worthwhile charity, the Doyle Phillips Foundation, who support families of officers and staff who have died whilst serving their communities.
We have reserved spaces especially for NARPO members on the morning and afternoon sessions.

Silver Service Lunch at the Southport Catering College, it will be 12 noon on Tuesday 16th April 2024. It has a cost of £15.00 for a 3-course meal, there is a limited number of places available.so book with Sue Laidler as soon as possible on 01704 577071.
For events held at St. James Church, Lulworth Road, Birkdale. Bus stops for the 47, 49 or X2 service nearby.

The 75th anniversary of the formation of the Liverpool City Police Cadet Corp will be on Thursday, 2nd May, 2024. Liverpool City, Liverpool & Bootle and then the Merseyside Police Cadet Corps members are invited to the event.
The reunion will be at the Liver Hotel, in Liverpool at lunch time.
If you are interested in attending, please e-mail your year of service and a contact number to George Dafnis, [email protected]
